My name is Kristin Sanzone and I am so happy to introduce myself as the new School Nurse at Horace Mitchell Primary School!
A little bit about me: I have worked with children of all ages! I hold a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education and I have taught middle and high school science and math, and also worked for several environmental conservation organizations in western Massachusetts. When my two children were young, I was a licensed home daycare provider and was inspired to become a nurse and care for children in a different capacity. After becoming a Registered Nurse in 2019, I worked at a residential school for exceptional children prior to moving to Maine in 2021. For the past three years, I was the school float nurse in the Marshwood and Noble districts. I love being a school nurse and I look forward to having a permanent “home” nurse’s office, and getting to know and care for all of our Mitchell students!
When I’m not at school, you might find me planting gardens, taking care of my menagerie of pets, paddle boarding, snowboarding or watching scary movies! My door is always open and I hope you do not hesitate to reach out for any reason!
Yours in Health and Wellness,
Nurse Kristin
